Behaviour Policy

At Rayne School, we pride ourselves on the excellent behaviour of all of our children and the positive approach adopted by our staff.  We believe that the children have the right to learn, to be respected by others and to be safe.  Good behaviour underpins the children's right to learn and the teachers' right to teach.

There is a clear structure for both the children and staff to base their actions on and as a result, the children are aware that their actions carry rewards and sanctions.

At Key Stage 1, the children work towards obtaining a series of coloured Rainbow Certificates, with achievement being celebrated at School assemblies.

At Key Stage 2, there is a House Points system, with points awarded for positive behaviour and good work.  At the end of each half-term, the winning House receives a Trophy.

On the rare occasion that there is inappropriate behaviour, all staff and children are aware of the sanctions that are enforced by the School.

All forms of bullying, harassment and victimisation will be challenged and dealt with in line with the terms of the Bullying Statement, which forms part of the School's Behaviour Policy.
