We intend to take part in the 'National Science and Engineering Week', which takes place between 9th - 18th March, 2012. This National event is intended to both raise the profile of Science and Engineering in our schools and to enthuse our students in the study of these subjects.
The intention is that each year group will have the opportunity to carry out several experiments and investigations during the week. These may be related to the class work in progress, or purely for the fun and wonder of experimentation, in a safe environment, of course.
For each year group to complete the range of activities planned, it will require many resources that are not the usual science stock that we keep in school. This is where you as parents can help. If you have or could donate any or some of the resources listed below, it would be a great boost to our aim of having a successful week. It may also be that someone has a contact or personal skill/knowledge that they would be will to share with our pupils. We would be grateful for either.
