Numeracy

We will revise and consolidate:

Number bonds to 10, 20, 100
Addition/subtraction facts to 20
Doubling and halving to 20 (leading on to 2 times tables – Y4 to continue with their times table level)

We will also:

Use knowledge of place value to order numbers and position them on a number line (Y4 – to include negative numbers)
Understand that amounts in units/tens/hundreds have different values and record these in a place value table (i.e. 86 tens = 860)
Round numbers to the nearest 10 or 100
Read time to the nearest 5mins on an analogue clock and begin to caluculate time intervals
Use Venn diagrams or Carroll diagrams to sort data and objects using more than one criterion
(Y4 – Add or subtract mentally pairs of two-digit whole numbers (e.g. 47 + 58, 91 – 35) )
