Literacy
- Stories with familiar settings. During this term the children will read stories with familiar settings then write their own stories. We will use reading books st at the seaside.
- Instruction texts.
- Authors and letters.
- Shape poens. (we will base these on different fairground rides).
Numeracy
- Block A: Counting, parition and calculating.
- Block B: Securing number facts and understanding shape.
- Block C: Handling Data and measures.
- Block D: Calculating, measuring and understanding shape.
- Block E: Securing number facts, relationships and calculating.
Science
- Characteristics of materials (investigate properties of materials, plan a fair test).
- Rocks and soils (to recognise and describe a range of different rocks. To know that rocks are chosen for a particular purpose because of their characteristics. To know there are different types of soil).
