After trying to be extremely organised and inform you as soon as I could about the Cross Country event at Notley, the plans for this event have now been changed.
It has now been confirmed that as there are not enough staff available to cover this event at the Discovery Centre (on Thursday 23rd February, 2012) to accommodate the number of children that would have taken part, following the cancellation of the 'Level 1' event, it is with deep regret that we will have to decrease our numbers going.
I do feel incredibly sad that I cannot take all the children to the Discovery centre so, therefore, it is my intention to hold our own 'Rayne Level 1 Cross Country' at School on Monday 20th February at 1.30 p.m. (aiming for the race to start at 1.45 p.m.). I have invited the other KS2 classes to come out and support us and would also like to extend this invitation to parents. If you would like to come and cheer the children on then please feel free to join us and aim to be at school for 1.15 p.m.
All the children taking part will need suitable footwear and warm running clothes.
The 'top two' children from each race (i.e. top two Year 3 girls, top two Year 3 boys etc) will then go on to race at the Discovery Centre on Thursday 23rd February.
I really do apologise for this change of plan but hope that, as always, you will continue to support us and most importantly the children.
